Cedar Shutters Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) is renowned worldwide for its beauty and its natural aromatic.

This exceptionally beautiful wood has natural colouring in mellow ambers reddish cinnamons and rich sienna browns.

Cedar is a lightweight stable wood which possesses a true straight grain and relatively consistent density make cedar less likely to swell, warp and twist than other soft and hard woods. It lies flat and stays straight, therefore resisting the natural tendency to crack, as you might find in many other woods, making it excellent material for moist or humid climates.

For these reasons, Western Red Cedar is the preferred wood for our Cedar Plantation Shutters and Cedar Venetian Blinds.
